The Conero Regatta

The Conero Regatta is one of the main summer events in Ancona Province area. Its first edition traces back to 2000, when on the occasion of the new Ancona tourist marina inauguration, the Marina Dorica SpA – the managing company – planned to this happening as opened to all the Ancona club members.

Year by Year the Conero Regatta involved more and more sea and sailing lovers reaching important numbers: 200 sailing-boats entered for the races, 2000 participants on board, 5.000 visitors on land, over 200.000 links on the website www.regatadelconero.it

Every year this event dedicated to the sailors coming from all over Italy, provides also with a calendar full of meetings, both at sea and on the land. It will be also an occasion for all the local and foreign people to see once again or to find the province capitol attractions.

In fact, during an interview the Conero Regatta organizational committee president, Mr Carlo Mancini, asserts: “We firmly think that the Conero Regatta is for Ancona one of the most important annual meetings, born to enhance it either from the sporting hand and moreover from the tourist and social point of views. We aim at both sailor and tourists large participation; therefore, we have tried to offer many initiatives, often related to the sea theme – which is a central point for Ancona – but that go beyond, able to involve everyone: we offer culture, music, books and medicine workshop, and so many solidarity promotions.”
